Easy Christmas Cocktails You Can Make At Home

pan.png

It’s December and that means 2 things:

1. Cold weather is here to stay in Illinois.

2. If we’re going to be stuck inside we might as well have drinks, right?

I curated 3 of my fav holiday drinks that you can make at home with a few simple ingredients. So grab those Santa hats and let’s get to mixin!

Did someone say…cocktails?

Tis the season for clinks and drinks. Share your fav go-to holiday mixers in the comments!

Fizzy Fruit Cider

First up, is a mocktail that I’ve been loving! It’s super simple and of course you can add your fav liquor if you want a buzz.

Ingredients:

- 1 orange

- Cranberries (whole and uncooked)

- 1 lime

- Handful of diced red apples

- 1 Arbonne spiced cider fizz stick

To start, fill your shaker up with 8 oz. or so of ice and water.

Then, squeeze in the juice from half the lime and half of the orange.

Add in your sliced apples and whole cranberries.

Before pouring your mixture into a glass, add in 1 Arbonne spiced cider fizz stick. Let the fizz dissolve completely and settle before stirring (NOT shaking) a final time.

Transfer into a mug or mason jar like I did and snap a pretty picture of this festive concoction! So easy!

The best things in life contain alcohol…

A peppermint eggnog fit for a queen or king. Sip slow friends, this one is a doozy.

Fancy Schmancy Eggnog

If you like peppermint and eggnog - here’s your new thing.

Ingredients:

- Peppermint candies or candy canes (I found pre-crushed peppermint candies at Home Goods)

- 6 oz. of Eggnog (I chose an almond milk version from Trader Joe’s)

- Chocolate sauce

- Nutmeg

- Cinnamon

- 1 oz. Tito’s Vodka (adjust to 1/2 oz. if you don’t like a strong drink)
- 1 oz. Peppermint Schnapps (adjust to 1/2 oz. if you don’t like a strong drink)

- Vanilla extract (optional)

Start by rimming the outside of your glass with chocolate sauce. Dip the glass in crushed peppermint candies around the outer edge. Set aside.

In a separate glass or shaker cup (I prefer this drink chilled and decided to use my shaker with ice) combine the vodka, eggnog, and peppermint schnapps.

Add vanilla extract if you feel necessary - based on preference and taste.

Strain, pour, garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon and nutmeg…enjoy!

Time for a night cap?

Sink into a warm bubble bath or cuddle up for a Christmas movie in bed. This drink has your name on it. Cheers!

Easy Boozy Hot Chocolate

I say this is easy because if you do this recipe my way, it won’t take along at all and would only require 3 ingredients! Loved this one last night!

Ingredients:

- Hot chocolate bomb (you can use a hot chocolate mix if you can’t find one of these at a grocery store)

- Milk of choice (almond milk was my preference)

- Bailey’s Irish Cream Liqueur

There aren’t many steps to this besides heating up your milk and adding your hot cocoa mixture. I chose to mix 1 oz. of Bailey’s to 1 cup of hot chocolate. Of course, you can tweak this to your taste and find what works best for you! This is one of my favorite things to drink on a cold night in…I hope you love it as much as I do!
